The Learning Architecture:
How The Tracks Work Together

Live Instructional Sessions

To successfully complete the course, you must pass at least one of the sessions. The course navigation panel within the course has more information on the prerequisites for the buddy coaching sessions and live learning.

Exclusive Facebook Group

In your welcome email, you’ll get a connection to a private Facebook page for your class that is managed by the members of the Integrative Coaching Academy team and your course instructor. This is the place where you may get support, get connections and reminders that will be useful, and participate in close conversations about what you’re learning outside of your live calls and buddy coaching sessions.

Weekly discussion topics will be posted by your instructor to encourage critical thinking and application of the material you’re learning. We advise you to comment to and participate in the discussion topics for at least 10-15 minutes in order to get the most out of your learning and application.

Each module requires two live learning sessions, which are attended by all students. When you enroll, you can pick the days and times of these sessions. You will have the chance to ask questions, take part in group discussions, practice your coaching techniques, and apply topics from that week’s module content during these sessions, which will be conducted by an experienced NBC-HRC end educator. All live learning sessions must be attended as a graduation requirement, but you are allowed a maximum of three absences.

You must register for and attend three buddy coaching sessions with another student and a faculty coach who has received board certification in addition to the live learning sessions. By rehearsing the roles of both the coach and the client in a private, virtual setting, these sessions will provide you the practical experience to coach confidently.

Your instructor will assess your coaching at each session and offer insightful criticism. Your grade will either be passing or failing.

Module Summaries

Our 26-week program is meticulously structured to transform you from a passionate individual into a confident, board-certified Integrative Health Coach. We achieve this through a unique two-track system that runs simultaneously:

The Coach’s Engine (Modules 1-11)
Master the HOW of coaching. Learn the art and science of facilitating profound client change, building trust, and guiding transformative conversations. This track aligns with NBHWC Core Competencies.

The Coach’s Roadmap (Module 12)
Master the WHAT of coaching. Gain instant access to a full library of functional medicine protocols, root-cause health知识, and a done-for-you client program. This track provides the evidence-based content for your coaching.

These two tracks run in parallel over the 6 months, allowing you to immediately apply your functional medicine knowledge to your coaching practice sessions, solidifying both skill sets.
